  • We’re excited to extend a special invitation to all young mathematicians aged 5 to 14 for the “International Abacus Olympiad 2026”.
  • Awards, trophies, and certificates will be presented to recognize and celebrate the incredible achievements of the top students at each of the International Abacus Olympiad’s Challenge’s learning levels.

Categories, Exam Levels & Question Pattern

  • Category A: Ages 5 to 7 
    Category B: Ages 8 to 10 
    Category C: Ages 11 to 13 

    Level 0 (Mental Math): 
    This Level is suitable for students who want to use mental/speed maths to solve questions without any abacus tool.
    1 digit, 3 rows to 1 digit, 5 rows (+&-)

    Level 1 (Beginners):
    Level 1 is for students who wish to use Abacus Tool in Exam but have not completed all formulas in Abacus(Without Compliments/Without Big Friends-Small Friends/Without Carry Forward-Borrowing).
    1 digit, 3 rows to 1 digit, 5 rows (+&-)

    Level 2 & 3 (Intermediate):
    Level 2 & above is suitable for students who have completed 34 formulas.
    1 digit, 5 rows to 2 digits, 3 rows (+&-)

    Level 4 & 5 (Advance):
    2 digits, 3 rows to 2 digits, 5 rows (+&-)
    2 digits multiplied by 1 digit
    2 or 3 digits divided by 1 digit
